Mission:
Our mission is to support and promote an integral approach to issues of poverty, ill health, injustice and imbalances in widows, widowers and orphans and the general communitites.
Activities:
WORD’s challenge is to engage Diaspora professionals, organisations and communities
living in UK and in Europe to use their skills in volunteering to tackle discrimination and
disadvantage (social or economic) in Africa and other parts of the world.
The in-put of volunteers allows community groups to meet their development needs
overseas. WORD volunteers support NGOs to build their organisational and management
skills, fundraising capability, lobbying and advocacy skills.
