Himalayan Development International (HDI) is a charitable organisation established to help Nepalis people to contribute to the development of Nepal. HDI encourages Nepalis professionals living in the UK to take advantage of Nepalis Diaspora Volunteering Programme (NDVP) to take short volunteering placements in Nepal to pass on their skills and expertise by means of training. HDI also aims to initiate projects in the UK to support Nepalis people to get on with their life.

Mission: 

HDI works with the motto of : “Transfer of professional skills from among the Nepalis professionals to transform Nepalis society”. It aims to expand its services to other countries in the world where there are Nepalis people and where there are people who are supporting Nepal and Nepalis people, wherever they may be.

Activities: 
HDI works with people who are from Nepal or who are helping Nepal and Nepalis people in the UK or in Nepal.The organisation works in the areas of education, health and community development. Volunteers undergo training to pass on their skills to Nepalis professionals as well working with the Nepalis community in the UK, assisting them in various ways, for example,  organising their health screening camp and health awareness campaign in the Nepalis language.
