Africa Centre Scotland assists African migrants in Scotland providing support and a welcoming service, and is interested in expanding into international work.The foundation of ACS was to challenge the discrimination and marginalisation of people of African heritage. The centre was also to create awareness of the different problems faced by people of African heritage while promoting and maintaining positive image of Africans working towards dealing with prejudice and importantly to contribute and integrate effectively into Scottish community.

Africa Centre exists to unite people of African heritage living in Scotland so that they are able to form a strong voice, raising their profile, influence decision making, improving their health, cultural and social wellbeing while at the same time contributing to the society within which they live.

 ACS operates a drop in service where volunteers are available to offer support to African migrants in Scotland.It also runs a range of children's activities, enabling children to be more confident and proud of their cultural heritage; and encouraging and supporting intergration and community cohesion.
